Dahlia is one of my best friends in the whole world. We met online in highschool, and she has been a constant in my life ever since. I was in her wedding, and she was going to be my son’s Tia.
Dahlia is in need of a kidney and a liver lobe donation. She has been in and out of the ICU at least once a month for the lasy year or so, and I am so afraid for her. I have filled out a donor form, and although I was deemed “not elligible” to donate either a kidney or a lobe of my liver to her, I am desperate to help her in any way that I can.
Her immediate family, due to their prejudice, will not consider donating to save her life. I am hoping I can find someone who is willing to help, since I can’t do it myself. Her blood type is O+.

Hello, my name is Dahlia and I’m a 37 year old woman suffering from end stage renal failure and I am in need of a double organ transplant. I need a kidney and a lobe of a liver. I have been on hemo dialysis for over a year and a half, and on home dialysis for about two months. Meaning that I don’t have to go in center for treatment, All with the help of my very loving wife.
My disease started as a teenager and worsened as I grew into adulthood. Two years ago I got a horrible infection, and because of an allergy to an antibiotic it destroyed what kidney function I had. The doctors thought that after some time, my kidneys would bounce back and recover, but they didn’t. I’ve been on dialysis since April of 2023.
I also suffer from non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. It is so bad and dangerous because I get high ammonia spikes, which reach my brain, causing me to forget who people are, where I’m from. I can only remember my name at some times. I try and control these spikes with medication.
With the help of a living donor for both organs, I can lead a normal life again. I implore you to please get tested for me. Or at least pass this along to anyone you might know that’s interested in becoming my living donor. Thank you and many blessings.
